This week has flown by. Rush, rush, rush… all week. Tonight was our mid-week playdate and the kitties were tired from the get-go.

The Brat locked herself out of the house as she was leaving for work today. So there she sat, on the back door steps, until my step-mother came to pick her up and take her on to work… of course that was after she had called me and asked that I get off early to come home. She calls me back after I had left work and said that Grandmama was coming. Whatever… I got off 45 minutes early today! I have to go pick the Brat up at work tonight though.
No, we don’t have a hidden key outdoors. Neighbor doesn’t have a spare key… we WILL have a spare key by the weekend!!
When I got home – early – I had a little extra time to spend with Muffin and the Kitties. We sat in the playroom and rested. The kitties enjoyed my cushy, oversized lap and didn’t seem to mind Muffin very much. A very enjoyable half-hour!

Muffin and the babies are getting more and more comfortable around each other… even Addi Tweet! Yes, she still hisses and occasionally even spits, but she is approaching Muffin more and more. They even touched noses twice tonight (but not when I could get a pic of it!) Britt and I both agree that Jack looks like Antonio Banderas… in Shrek. Those big Puss-in-Boots eyes.

The road trip to Highlands, NC and Clayton, GA this morning was a bit of a letdown. Two of the three waterfalls I targeted for pics were closed! I’ll post some pics on my Flickr site (http://www.flickr.com/photos/carolinashots/ ).

Just got back from the Clemson University/Georgia Tech baseball game. We lost 5-4 but it was a good game none the less. Tomorrow, I will be taking a mini day trip to Clayton, GA and Highlands, NC for waterfall shots and if I can get up early enough, maybe some sunrise shots (unlikely at present!). All she wants to do is play. She loves to play. I’m speaking of our dear Muffin, our nearly 14-year-old border collie/husky mix. Shanghai Jack and Skipper Seven are fairly comfortable with Muffin until Muffin starts getting excited and starts to jump around a lot. But Addison Tweet… she’s curious but very leery of Muffin. Lots of hissing and spitting from Addi. But the day will come when Addi will be napping with Muffin, we just know it!
