The Three Kitties

Good gravy.  Its been a day.  I went to my dad’s house to work on his computer, then went to see the movie “Up”… Britt’s back window on her car was shattered by a baseball during a baseball game this evening.   On the good side, the kitties now have a water fountain!  They went crazy for it.  Muffin even enjoyed drinking from it.

We had a lovely time at the playtime tonight.  Unfortunately, Muffin decided to stay away. <pout> But tonight’s pics feature Muffin!  BE FOREWARNED!  There is a very scary picture of Addison Tweet ahead!  I’m serious! Scared the daylights out of me when I opened it up!  On the other hand, there is a delightful pic of Muffin doing her best “Earl Hickey” impression.  For those of you who don’t know Earl Hickey (My Name is Earl), Earl has his eyes closed in every photo ever taken of him.  Muffin is a big fan!

The kitties will be nipped and tucked on June 11th.  They will also be getting the last of their distemper shots as well as their rabies shots.  Lastly, they will be getting their nails trimmed.  Sorta like going to the spa with drugs and a recovery time.

We are looking at June 14th as the date the kitties will be sprung from the playroom into the rest of the house.  I’ve yet to decide if they wil be corraled back into the playroom for playdates or if we try to do the playdates in the living room.   While I can close off the back part of the house with a door between the hallway and the living room, it’s a little more difficult to close off the kitchen.  There is a door between but there is also a pass through which has no means of closing.  We’ll see.

We had a nice playtime and visit with the “fan club” today.   I know that the babies enjoyed it!  The next playdate will probably be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. EDT but this is tenative.

Whew, I’m late tonight!  My neice, Elizabeth, graduated high school tonight.  We had a wonderful time and Elizabeth has much to look forward to.  She will begin her studies in the fall to become a registered nurse.

I hear Muffin in the hall!

So, the cats took to catnip like a fish to water.  It was so funny watching them try to get down from the top of the tree after they ate the stuff!    I gave them a little more tonight but gave it to them on the floor!  Jackson immediately got on the ottoman and stretched out.  Skipper played hot and heavy with the laser light… and Addison Tweet… well… she could not make up her mind if she wanted to lay down or play.

It started off so innocently… I said, “I have some catnip somewhere… I should give some to the kitties before the next playdate.”  And SOMETHING made me say, “Not rolled, of course.”  It went downhill from there.

It’s been a great day!  I got baptized today!  Sorry, I know that’s not kittie-pertinent… too bad!!!!
